Home Decor With Lighthouse Pictures

For the nautically minded, lighthouse pictures can be particularly evocative. However, that is not confined to people with a nautical background. Lighthouses have a romantic and nostalgic appeal to millions of others too. During holidays seasons, you will always find ordinary land lubbers thronging to the local lighthouse if there is one in their hioliday coastal town.

Pictures of lighthouses make for some fine decor too, and not just framed pictures on the wall.

Despite their solitude, and sometimes exposure to wild elements, lighthouses have a homely appeal. To a ship at sea, they can also be a welcome sight. A welcome home sign with a picture of a lighthouse, such as the one shown left, can therefore be a warm greeting for visitors and for you to return home to.

If you think of any type of home decor, you could probably find an example of it with a lighthouse picture on it. Curtains, wallpapers, bedspreads, lamp shades, wall hangings, and many other decor items can readily be found.

Another place where you may find a picture of a lighthouse could be a mirror. Hanging just inside the front door, it could signify another welcome home, or even a reminder that you have the beacon of a home to come back to as you comb your hair before leaving the house.

The final picture is of some attractive placemats with a variety of lighthouse pictures, different shapes , sizes and colours. These evoke remote scenes of quiet shorelines as you eat your meal, and are bound to be a conversation piece amongst visitors.
