Nautical Decor For Your Home - Model Ships, HMS Bounty, Pirate Ships, and USCG Eagle

There are many types of nautical decor to remind you of the sea at home. Whatever the reason for your love of the sea, ships, boats and the sailor's life, there is a great variety for you to choose from.
It seems most of us love the sea and it has the tendency to bring out the nostalgia in us. Who cannot be impressed by the nostalgic historic sailing ships? The famous and historic, such as HMS Bounty (left) right up to the modern day tall ship replicas, of ships used by past seafarers.
HMS Bounty was a small ship with a big story, and a replica model of the Bounty in your home will always be a talking point. Most of the better quality model ships are painstakingly detailed and make excellent nautical ornaments, and are much to be admired.
Also partly on the nostalgic side you have the pirates ships of old, such as the one modelled right. Piracy is associated by many with long ago, though it still goes on today with modern boats and ships. Far south of where I live in the Sulu Sea and beyond, are some of the most pirated seas of the world.

Glancing at the picture on the left you would not think, unless you are an expert, that this is a replica of a relatively modern ship. The USCG Eagle was obtained by the US from Germany at the end of World War 2 as reparation. It is used by the US Coast Guard for cadet training, and by the look of it must be a good recruitment aid too.
